Week 1 of my
On-the-Job Training (OJT)

I traveled to Kidapawan City with a strong sense of purpose. I was On-the-Job Training (OJT) student. Going from a classroom to a professional environment is a significant step in one's academic career. At first, they gave me a briefing about the place and my tasks. I was told what was expected of me and what kind of work I was going to do.

When we got there, Sir Brenn, the resident IT Specialist, was the first person to warmly welcome us. With his support, we felt less anxious and more confident to start our professional journey. He made our deployment easy, took us through a detailed orientation, and gave us a rundown of the office's IT protocols and digital infrastructure. We started our work on a very good note, thanks to him.

After meeting with Sir Brenn the IT Specialist, I was officially assigned to the ICTO (Information and Communications Technology Office) for my internship. This placement allows me to use my technical knowledge, get to know the experts, and have a meaningful OJT experience.

During the Charter Day celebration, we joined the parade to assist with the QR code attendance system. It was a busy but fulfilling experience as we moved through the crowd to ensure everyone was scanned and accounted for. This task allowed us to apply our technical knowledge in a large-scale community event.

On my third day of OJT, Sir Charles taught us how to record attendance data from the QR system. He demonstrated to us how to handle and arrange digital logs properly, emphasizing that accurate data management is crucial in making office operations more efficient.
