On-the-Job Training (OJT)

 My morning routine begins with me deciding to clean the glass partitions in our office. I am convinced that a neat and well-ordered environment sets the mood for an efficient day, so I took a squeegee and cleaner to ensure that our working environment was shining before we really got down to business.

It was nice to get a little exercise first thing in the morning, and I also felt that I had helped to give our office a more professional appearance.

In today’s assignment, I decided to take on a more technical task by disassembling a computer system unit with the aim of conducting an internal cleaning. I disassembled various components such as the cooling fan and the motherboard with the aim of removing dust that could hinder its performance. Upon disassembling these components, I made sure that they were sparkling clean and in good condition before reassembling them with care.

To assist us in getting familiar with our new environment, our Admin from ICTO, Ma'am Neng, took us on a tour around the different offices within the City Hall. She personally took us to the different offices of the different departments within the building, which greatly helped us understand the different departments and how we could easily move around the offices in the future. Having this orientation was a great start for us in our journey because we not only got familiar with our new work environment but also felt more welcomed and ready to interact with the different departments we would be working with.
